Arrow Manager Network Settings
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Arrow Manager provides on-device network monitoring and management through the device’s local web interface. This allows you to view network connectivity status and manage the Network Manager service directly on the Arrow device.
Network Status Display
Section titled “Network Status Display”The Arrow Manager dashboard displays real-time network connectivity status for all network interfaces.
Connection Types
Section titled “Connection Types”| Interface | Icon | Description |

Status Indicators
Section titled “Status Indicators”Each connection type displays:

| Connected badge | Interface is up with connectivity |
| Disconnected badge | Interface is down or no connectivity |
| Disabled badge | Interface is intentionally disabled |
Viewing Details
Section titled “Viewing Details”Hover over any connection status to see additional information:

Network Manager Service
Section titled “Network Manager Service”The Network Manager service handles network configuration and connectivity management on Arrow devices. Arrow Manager allows you to check for updates, upgrade the service, and restart it when needed.
Accessing Network Manager Settings
Section titled “Accessing Network Manager Settings”- Access the Arrow Manager on your device
- Navigate to the Network Manager section
- View current status and available actions
Status Information
Section titled “Status Information”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Current Version | The installed Network Manager version |
| Target Version | The latest available version |
| Last Checked | When the system last checked for updates |
| Status Badge | ”Up to Date” or “Upgrade Available” |
Available Actions
Section titled “Available Actions”Check for Updates
Section titled “Check for Updates”Click Refresh to check if a newer version of Network Manager is available. This compares file hashes between the installed version and the target version.
Upgrade
Section titled “Upgrade”When an upgrade is available:
- Click Upgrade
- Confirm the upgrade in the dialog
- Wait for the upgrade to complete
- The service will restart automatically
The upgrade may briefly interrupt network connectivity while the service restarts.
Force Upgrade
Section titled “Force Upgrade”Use Force Upgrade to reinstall the Network Manager files regardless of version checks. This is useful if:
- The normal upgrade isn’t working
- Files have become corrupted
- You need to refresh the configuration
Restart Service
Section titled “Restart Service”Click Restart Service to restart the Network Manager without upgrading. Use this when:
- Network connectivity issues occur
- After manual configuration changes
- The service becomes unresponsive
Version Information
Section titled “Version Information”File Hash Comparison
Section titled “File Hash Comparison”Expand the File Hash Comparison section to see detailed version information:

Each component shows:
- Current Hash: Hash of the installed file
- Target Hash: Hash of the expected file
- Status: “Up to date” or “Needs update”
File hashes are used to detect changes and determine when upgrades are needed, even if version numbers haven’t changed.
Understanding Network Interfaces
Section titled “Understanding Network Interfaces”Ethernet (vmbr0)
Section titled “Ethernet (vmbr0)”The primary network interface on Arrow devices is a Proxmox bridge (vmbr0) that provides:
- Wired ethernet connectivity
- Network access for virtual machines
- Primary internet route when available
Cellular (wwan0)
Section titled “Cellular (wwan0)”Arrow devices include an LTE modem for backup connectivity:
- Activates when ethernet loses internet
- Provides failover connectivity
- Used for LTE Bridge Mode (advanced feature)

VPN (wt0)
Section titled “VPN (wt0)”The NetBird VPN interface:
- Creates secure tunnels to your VPN network
- Enables remote access to the Arrow device
- Managed automatically by the NetBird service

When to Use These Features
Section titled “When to Use These Features”Regular Monitoring
Section titled “Regular Monitoring”- Check network status after physical installation
- Verify connectivity after network changes
- Monitor cellular signal strength in new locations
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Use Restart Service if network connectivity issues occur
- Check file hashes if behavior seems incorrect
- Force Upgrade if normal upgrades fail
Maintenance
Section titled “Maintenance”- Regularly check for Network Manager updates
- Upgrade when new versions are available
- Review network status after power events
Troubleshooting

Section titled “No Internet Connection Shown”- Check physical ethernet cable connection
- Verify network configuration at the site
- Restart the Network Manager service
- Check if cellular failover is available
Cellular Not Connecting
Section titled “Cellular Not Connecting”- Verify cellular signal strength
- Check SIM card status
- Ensure cellular is not disabled

VPN Shows Disconnected
Section titled “VPN Shows Disconnected”- Verify internet connectivity
- Check NetBird service status
- Verify VPN configuration

Network Manager Upgrade Fails
Section titled “Network Manager Upgrade Fails”- Try Force Upgrade option
- Restart the service manually
- Check for sufficient disk space
- Contact support if issues persist
